 OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: TROOPS DESTROY TERRORIST HIDEOUTS AS OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS COMMENCE IN KATSINA STATE Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY) have commenced a deliberate offensive operation, code-named Operation CLEAN SWEEP III, targeting terrorist and bandit elements operating within Matazu Local Government Area and adjoining communities in Katsina State. The operation was launched following the unfortunate incident that led to the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists and bandits in the area. The operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing the perpetrators of the heinous act, dismantling criminal networks and restoring security within the affected communities. GOV. ORTOM MEETS WITH STAKEHOLDERS FROM FIVE LGAs TOMORROW.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, willl meet with major stakeholders from Katsina-Ala, Ukum , Logo, Kwande and Gboko local government areas at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House at 11 am prompt, tomorrow, Thursday , 25th, April, 2019.
The agenda of the meeting will be a discussion of the prevailing security challenges in those areas.
A formal invitation to the meeting is being extended to the concerned stakeholders not specifically mentioned.
These include District Heads, Third, Second and First Class Traditional Rulers, local government chairmen, serving and elected Natonal and State Assembly members, selected religious leaders as well as other prominent sons and daughters from the local government areas.
A similar meeting will be held with stakeholders from Agatu local government area at the same venue to discuss same agenda on Friday, 26th April, 2019 at 10 am.
