 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. GOV. ORTOM MEETS WITH STAKEHOLDERS FROM FIVE LGAs TOMORROW.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, willl meet with major stakeholders from Katsina-Ala, Ukum , Logo, Kwande and Gboko local government areas at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House at 11 am prompt, tomorrow, Thursday , 25th, April, 2019.
The agenda of the meeting will be a discussion of the prevailing security challenges in those areas.
A formal invitation to the meeting is being extended to the concerned stakeholders not specifically mentioned.
These include District Heads, Third, Second and First Class Traditional Rulers, local government chairmen, serving and elected Natonal and State Assembly members, selected religious leaders as well as other prominent sons and daughters from the local government areas.
A similar meeting will be held with stakeholders from Agatu local government area at the same venue to discuss same agenda on Friday, 26th April, 2019 at 10 am.
