 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.       In furtherance of the 31st March, 2019 announcement of the release of promotions by the Police Service Commission, the Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni, today, 4th April, 2019 decorated the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba with his new rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police. Other Officers decorated by the IGP include ACP Igbafe Afegbai, 2iC Federal Inland Revenue Service {FIRS} and SP Atiku Ibrahim, Personal Assistant {P.A} to the IGP.
While decorating the three officers, the IGP congratulated them and the Eight Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirteen (8,913) other newly promoted Officers of the Force, charged them to see their elevation as a call to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation and to continue to recognize and uphold the fundamental rights of the citizens.
