 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. AFCON: PDP Hails Super Eagles, Charges Team to Lift Trophy
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates the Super Eagles for the team’s performance in the on-going Africa Cup of Nation, urging the players to focus on lifting the trophy at the end of the tournament.
The party says it is highly proud of our national team for defeating the defending champion, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon; a pointer to the triumph of the Super Eagles at the tournament.
The PDP notes that in defeating Cameroon, the Super Eagles, once again demonstrated the resilient spirit, courage and team work for which our nation and her people are known all over the world.
That victory has also shown that, as a nation, we can always surmount our challenges when we work together.
The party therefore charges the Super Eagles not to relent but to go in the same spirit and defeat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the Quarter Finals on Wednesday.
The PDP urges Nigerians to continue in their support and prayers for the team to win the trophy and bring glory to our dear nation.
