 GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH  ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE   Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state.   The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira. Complementing this is the critical reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna– Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre artery valued at ₦178 billion. AFCON: PDP Hails Super Eagles, Charges Team to Lift Trophy
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates the Super Eagles for the team’s performance in the on-going Africa Cup of Nation, urging the players to focus on lifting the trophy at the end of the tournament.
The party says it is highly proud of our national team for defeating the defending champion, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon; a pointer to the triumph of the Super Eagles at the tournament.
The PDP notes that in defeating Cameroon, the Super Eagles, once again demonstrated the resilient spirit, courage and team work for which our nation and her people are known all over the world.
That victory has also shown that, as a nation, we can always surmount our challenges when we work together.
The party therefore charges the Super Eagles not to relent but to go in the same spirit and defeat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the Quarter Finals on Wednesday.
The PDP urges Nigerians to continue in their support and prayers for the team to win the trophy and bring glory to our dear nation.
