  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. As Anambra Road Maintenance Agency continues patching of Potholes across the State, Governor Willie Obiano has acquired 3 more Automated Pothole Patching Machines to enhance their work.
According to the Managing Director of Anambra Road Maintenance Agency, Engineer Emeka Okoye, the Machines will help immensely in the discharge of their duties.
Engineer Okoye noted that Governor Obiano has mandated the agency to ensure zero Potholes across the roads in the three Senatorial Districts of Anambra State, and that the agency is determined to make all State's roads Pothole free.More photos below.
