 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. LADY SELLS HER BABY FOR N500K AFTER DELIVERY,TELLS HER HUSBAND SHE LOST THE PREGNANCY.{PHOTO}.

     The Imo state police command has arrested and paraded a housewife identified as Chinasa Ukaonu, for selling her baby for N500k after delivery.
The plan to sell her baby was set in motion after she told her husband Promise Ukaonu, that she was going to stay with her brother for a while at Mbaitoli in the 8-month of her pregnancy. However after sending over a message of losing the pregnancy shortly after, Chinasa turned up at a baby factory where two nurses, Esomonu Dorothy and Eke Catherine delivered her of the baby.
Suspecting foul play, Promise reported the incident to the police. Upon being arrested, the mother named the two nurses who helped her out during delivery and also revealed she sold her baby for N500k to one Mrs. Chioma Amadi.
The State Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo said the paraded suspects will be charged to court after investigation has been concluded. He also confirmed that the baby has been recovered.
