 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.      On Day three of #RoyalVisitSouthAfrica, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son Archie met Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka.
They met to discuss the work of the The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation which was founded in Cape Town in 2013.
The Foundation contributes to the development of youth and leadership, and facilitates discussions about social justice and human purpose.
In 2015, in recognition of Archbishop Tutu’s services to UK communities and international peace, The Duke of Sussex presented him with the "Insignia of an Honorary member of The Order of the Companions of Honour".
Her Majesty has met the Archbishop many times over the course of her reign including in 2004 and 2013.
Later today, The Duchess of Sussex attended a ‘Ladies who Launch’ event at the Woodstock Exchange, Cape Town.
HRH spoke with inspiring female entrepreneurs about their careers in technology and their ambitions for the future.
At mothers2mothers, The Duchess then learned more about the work of the charity in helping to eliminate paediatric AIDS. m2m train and employ women living with HIV as frontline health workers – so far the charity have created over 10,000 jobs for women living with HIV across the African continent.More photos below.
