 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.      I see Afenifere and Pa Reuben Fasoranti as the source and apex of the Oduduwa people and nation. Afenifere leads and all others follow. My allegiance is to Baba Fasoranti, Baba Ayo Adebanjo, Baba Oladipo, Baba Olu Falae and all the other leaders of Afenifere. This is where I stand.
And what has Baba Fasoranti not seen and suffered? He really has paid his dues. First they killed his daughter. Then they sponsored a desperate pretender to attempt to usurp his position and undermine his authority as leader and thereby destroy Afenifere. Finally they mocked and humiliated him.
All this just to weaken his resolve and destroy the legitimate leadership of the sons of Oduduwa in order to enslave and subjugate us forever. I have a word for them: you shall fail and Afenifere will stand forever.More photos below.
