 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta.       Today The Duchess of Cornwall celebrated the achievements of young women during a visit to Mulberry School for Girls in East London.
The school is involved with the global WOW - Women of the World Festival and Her Royal Highness’s visit included a tour of a WOW marketplace in the school’s library. Stalls were based on the theme ‘Partnership of Equals’ and highlighted the topic of gender equality.
The Duchess visited English and Dance classes before meeting students working on oil paintings and watching a performance by the Mulberry Theatre Company.
The Duchess is President of the Women of the World Festival, and has attended several WOW events across the globe. Her Royal Highness will take part in a WOW event in New Zealand next month during The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall’s forthcoming Autumn Tour.
Later, The Duchess toured The Royal Foundation of St Katharine, a retreat house and conference centre that provides a space for women’s groups, community groups, artists and local organisations. HRH concluded the visit with a trip to the Yurt Café- a social enterprise with price-protected items.More photos below.
