 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.     It was a night to remember..the 26th of December started like any other day, but ended on a high.. It was the Hip Samba 2019 edition..there was a lot of performances from very wonderful artistes across the country,with The Star act coming all the way from the United States of America (Though a kaduna bred lady).. But one act stood apart.. The African Michael Jackson led trio..their performance had everyone asking for more, and when David Obama Geoman the African Michael Jackson showed why he won the Award as the Most fierce dancer in Africa under 18,and also recently, the best solo dancer in Africa ,the crowd went hysterical.. It was a perfect fusion of Pop.. Hip-hop, and the traditional Samba dance..it was new, and it was beautiful.. This young 9 years old is the new face of entertainment.. The world better watch out.More photos below.
