 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle is expected to be the chief host.

Keynote speakers are: Mr. Babajide Otitoju, TVC, Journalists Hangout; DCP Abba Kyari, Commander, IGP-IRT; Omooba Segun Adewale, CEO, 24/7 Communications; Titilayo Oseni, Former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and Mr. Olamilekan Adeola, MD, Zenith Carex.

According to the organisers, Guest Speakers expected at the event are: Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State; Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Executive Governor of Sokoto State; Mr. Samuel Laraer Ortom, Executive Governor of Venue State; Babagana Umara Zulum (MNI), Executive Governor of Borno State and Aminu Bello Masari, Executive Governor of Katsina State.
According to the statement from organisers, media partners are TVC, Galaxy Television and NTA.
