 Kano State Approves N1.5 Billion for Mass Wedding of 3,000 Couples The Kano State Government has earmarked N1.5 billion for a forthcoming mass wedding programme targeting 3,000 beneficiaries, officials announced on Monday. Commander-General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Daurawa, disclosed the funding while briefing journalists on preparations for the event.  “The Kano State Government is to spend N1.5bn on the entire mass wedding programme which will soon be conducted in the state,” Daurawa said. According to him, the allocation will cover furniture, food items, dowry, clothing materials for the couples, and a N100,000 capital grant to each bride, among other expenses. The Hisbah Board, in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health, has already commenced mandatory medical screening for prospective couples to determine their health status. NIGERIAN LADY ARRESTED AFTER SHE REFUSED TO RETURN N950K WHICH WAS TRANSFERRED TO HER ACCOUNT BY MISTAKE.{PHOTOS}.

    A Nigerian lady has been arrested by the police after defrauding an abroad returnee of N950k.
Sharing a video of the lady at the police station, Ex-beauty Queen Cassandra said her cousin who is a doctor, mistakenly transferred N950k to the lady who begged him for N95k.
It was gathered that after the lady received the money, she blocked the 'I Just Got Back' on Instagram, deleted all her photos and refused picking up his calls. She however got busted after Cassandra saw her drinking at the beach with some of her friends.
In an Instagram exchange with some of her followers, the ex-beauty Queen revealed that the lady moved the money to another account before her account got frozen. Upon being interrogated, the lady said she used the money she felt was sent as payment for sex she had with the doctor in paying her house rent.More photos below.
