 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Today 16/1/2020 the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide Anambra State chapter led by it's President, Ichie Damian Afam Okeke-Ogene paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang,fdc at the State Command headquarters, Awka.
The organisation also presented a letter of commendation the Commissioner for Police for ensuring a peaceful Christmas and new year celebrations and for bringing crime to the barest minimum in Anambra State since his resumption to office as the 28th Commissioner of Police in the State.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang,fdc thanked organisation for the visit and for recognizing the efforts of the Command under his watch towards providing safety and security in Anambra State. The CP further stated that all the achievements recorded by the Command wouldn't have been possible without the support of "Ndi Anambra"who always volunteer useful and timely information on criminal elements and their hideouts to the Police.
The CP equally thanked His Excellency the Executive Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano for providing logistics supports to the Police as well as encouraging a rubost Synergy among the Sister security Agencies in the State.
