 Troops Rescue 10 Kidnap Victims, Recover Weapons, Cash In Kaduna Troops of Sector 5 under Operation Peace Shield have rescued 10 kidnapped victims and recovered arms, ammunition and ransom money in a successful operation in Kaduna State. The rescue followed the abduction of several women from their farms in Ungwan Nungu, Sanga Local Government Area, on 29 November 2025. Security forces launched an immediate search-and-rescue mission to track the kidnappers. According to military authorities, the breakthrough came at about 6:40 a.m. on 5 December 2025, when troops intercepted the kidnappers during an attempted ransom collection. The armed group reportedly came under heavy fire, forcing them to flee into the surrounding forest and abandon the hostages.      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, presented two witnesses before Justice I.E Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja against the former senator, representing Kaduna North Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani.

The EFCC is prosecuting Senator Sani on a two-count criminal charge, bordering on intent to defraud and obtain the sum of $10,000.00 (Ten Thousand United States of America Dollars) from one Alhaji Sani Dauda, (ASD) under the false pretence, that the money was meant to bribe the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, to arrest and prosecute one Abubakar Musa.
