 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

NAF HOLDS ORIENTATION TRAINING FOR RECENTLY GRADUATED MEDICAL TRADESMEN OF BMTC 40/2019.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Medical Services Branch has held an orientation course for new Medical tradesmen and women of the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 40/2019 who were enlisted into the Service on 15 February 2020 after completing 6 months of intensive basic military training. The one-day orientation training, which took place today, 17 February 2020, at the Nigerian Air Force School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine (NAFSMSAM) Kaduna, was aimed at apprising the new airmen and airwomen of their roles and responsibilities as NAF Medical personnel.
The 64 new medical personnel were taken through a series of lectures, interspersed with engaging interactive sessions, covering subjects such as “The History of the NAF Medical Services”; “Role of the NAF Medical Services in Support of NAF Operations” as well as “Professional and Work Ethics of the NAF Medical Services Branch”. Others are “NAF Core Values”; “Aviation Medicine Services in the NAF and NAF Medical Standards”; “Career Progression” as well as “Attitude and Behaviour of Healthcare Workers to Patients”. The programme, which had its resource persons drawn from NAFSMSAM, also had the NAF Chief of Medical Services, Air Commodore Gideon Bako, in attendance.
