 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.     Members of the NYSC Batch "A" have expressed appreciation to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his role in providing a conducive environment for their year-long service.
The corps members, who visited the Governor in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta after their Passing Out Parade (POP) yesterday, were in company with the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Dr Belinda Faniyi and other top officials of the Corps in the State.
The corps members thanked Governor Abiodun for the genuine love he showed both the Corps and its members during their one-year service, particularly as he saw to improving the living conditions of the NYSC Camp in the State.
Earlier, the State had officially commended the two corps members for their selfless contributions to community development.More photos below.
