 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. DANISH CONSULATE SEEKS SUPPORT OF MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE FOR INVESTORS FROM DENMARK IN DAIRY VALUE CHAIN.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.


     With a drive for improved and quality milk production in Nigeria, the Danish Consulate in Nigeria has sought for partnership with the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture, saying it intends to replicate the exploits of what it has achieved in some parts of the North, in the South West.
The Senior Commercial Advisor to the Consul, Sephora Akako, who revealed this during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, disclosed further that part of the Consul’s plans was to support small holder farmers, as well as create link with them, thereby helping the Danish Government to establish business ties with Ogun State.
The leader of the delegation outlined plans for long term project in milk production in the state, which will translate into numerous value chain job opportunities for youths.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, who disclosed that Ogun State is fast becoming an Agro-Industrial Hub, said the State is aggressively promoting investment as it is proposing to grow about 1,000 cattle entrepreneurs in 2020.
He promised the Consulate the much needed support from the State Government, maintaining that the vision of the present administration in the State is to provide employment for the youths, create wealth, among others.
Also present at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Dotun Sorunke and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. (Mrs.) Angel Adelaja-Kuye.More photos below.
