 Flu outbreak hits Air Force basic training in Texas after vaccine mandate lifted, with 159 cases reported among recruits    A flu outbreak is affecting Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas, with at least 159 confirmed cases and two hospitalizations reported among recruits as health officials respond to a cluster of infections at Joint Base San Antonio. The outbreak developed over the past several weeks and has prompted medical staff to isolate symptomatic trainees, treat cases, and monitor those who were in close contact with infected individuals. Officials said additional cases and hospitalizations are still being assessed. An Air Force spokesperson confirmed the situation, describing it as a localized influenza outbreak within the basic military training program. Symptomatic recruits are being treated with antiviral medications, including Tamiflu, and will return to training once medically cleared.     President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State over the passing of his mum, Hajiya Hauwau Oziohu Bello, 101, praying that God almighty will comfort her family and loved ones.
The President urges the governor, family members and all associates of Hajiya Bello to find solace in the grace of long life given to the matriarch, and her strength of character in bringing up her children, grandchildren and great-grand children in fear of God, while promoting strong moral values in her community.
President Buhari believes the legacies of generosity, kindness and virtue that Hajiya Bello lived by, and consistently advocated will always be remembered.
The President urges the family and all citizens of Kogi State to immortalize the matriarch by promoting her values, praying that God will grant her soul peaceful rest.
