 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has condoled his Adamawa State counterpart, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri over the loss of his mother.

Governor Matawalle said he received the news of Hajiya Fatima Ahmadu Badami's death with great shock, but said the Will of Allah always suffice.

He described the deceased as an astitute mother who gave his college all the good qualities of a responsible human being and a great leader.

"Indeed, we love our mother very much, but Allah loves her most and has taken her away especially in this very sacred and bountiful month of Ramadan", Governor Matawalle observed.

He called on his colleague to bear the pains of this irreparable loss with great courage and feel more comfortable that she has returned to her Lord as a fulfilled mother. "Only Allah can reward her for her efforts in bringing you up to this level in your life", Governor Matawalle advised.
"On behalf of myself, my family  the Government and the good people of Zamfara State, I convey to you our heartfelt condolence. May Allah reward her with the highest abode in jannatil fil daus", Governor Matawalle prayed.

Hajiya Fatima died this morning in Yola at the age of 68 after a protracted illness.
