 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. COVID-19: PATIENTS ENJOY FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT AT IJEDE GENERAL HOSPITAL.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Medical Director of Ijede General Hospital, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Bankole, has disclosed that over 191 patients benefitted from the free medical treatment directive of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the month of April 2020.
Dr. Bankole said that the free medical treatment was in compliance with the Governor's promise that the State will pay the medical bills incurred by patients admitted to public healthcare facilities during the lockdown.
The gesture, according to her, was a way of lessening the burden of medical expenses on patients during the lockdown in the State.
"This decision of the State Government really assisted many indigent patients, who ordinarily would not be able to afford the medical expenses of undergoing the various surgeries carried out by hospitals which ran into several millions of naira", Dr. Bankole said.
Some of the beneficiaries at the hospital, commended the State Government for assisting them at a very crucial time when the lockdown negatively affected their earning power.More photos below.
