 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.    The Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Mr. Wahab Alawiye-King and other members of the Board have commended the selfless efforts of a Senior Education Officer in Ebenezer Primary School, Ifako-Ijaye, Mrs. Fausat Adegeye for initiating free online classes for some school pupils on Facebook since the closure of schools.
Mrs. Adegeye was described by the Executive Chairman as a resilient worker that is capable of moving Basic Education forward in the State while presenting her a letter of commendation for the impactful initiative at the LASUBEB Office, Maryland, Ikeja on Friday.
