 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.     With the gradual easing of Covid 19 lockdown in Ogun-State, corporate organisations such as banks, industries,large and small scale enterprises in the State have been urged to decontaminate their premises ahead of resumption of some business activities.
The Commissioner of Environment,Hon Abiodun Abudu-Balogun in a statement signed in Abeokuta said this is desirable because of large volume of customers and visitors that throng their premises for transactions as well as complementing the state government's efforts at flattening the curve of the pandemic in the state.
While thanking them for their support to the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government and their host communities through donation of medical interventions and palliatives, Hon Abudu-Balogun said they will complete the circle of war against Covid 19 by decontamating their premises to help stop the spread of the pandemic.
The Commissioner also urged them to enforce government directives on the pandemic at their premises through wearing of face masks by their workers and visitors,keep social distancing and provision of hand washing materials and sanitizers.
He also told them to feel free to contact the Ministry of Environment for assistance in decontaminating their premises and general environment if need be,so that together the Corona virus scourge can be defeated in state.
