 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. FATAL MOTOR/PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT CLAIMED THE LIFE OF A MIDDLE AGED MAN WHOSE IDENTITY IS YET TO BE ASCERTAINED.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE

     On the 29/5/2020 at about 10:30am,along Oba-Nnewi old Road,a Mitsubishi L300 bus with REG.NO AFZ 71 XA driven by one Sunday Igwe 'm' of No:24 Ikwo street Ugwuagba Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State loss control and knocked down a middle aged man whose identity is not yet known.As a result,victim became unconscious.
Police operatives attached to Oba Division visited the scene and rushed victim to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor on duty.Corpse deposited at the gateway mortuary for postmortem Examination and preservation.
Meanwhile,the driver was arrested and obstruction cleared to enable free flow of traffic in the area.
However,efforts to locate the relatives of the victim proved abortive since the date of the accident.In view of the foregoing,the Command urged the public whose relations got missing and matched above description to report at Oba Police Station for possible identification and claim of the victim please.
