 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢, 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐬, 𝐀𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐞, 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝟕𝟔𝟐 𝐅𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has revoked the lands allocated to several prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, due to non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy fees. Also, 759 other prominent figures and organisations in Maitama II, Abuja. were also affected by the revocation which was for non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy. FATHER OF EX- PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR, DARIYE, KIDNAPPED.[PHOTO].

     PA Defwan Dariye, father of a former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, has been kidnapped by yet to be identified gunmen.
The old man was kidnapped at his residence in Mushere under Bokkos Local Government Area of the state on Thursday.
The incident is said to have sent panic across the local community in Plateau and raised fears among residents.
A resident of the area, who confirmed the news to SaharaReporters said, "Information reaching me is that the father of a former governor of Plateau State, Defwan Dariye, has been kidnapped by heavily armed men.
"Insecurity is fast becoming a norm."
Spokesperson for the police in Plateau, Ubah Ogaba, confirmed the incident, adding that they were already on the trail of the kidnappers.
Pa Dariye had in 2015 been also kidnapped at the same location but released a few days later.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
