 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

FG DEPLOYED FIRE FIGHTING TRUCKS TO OYO STATE FIRE SERVICE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      As part of efforts aimed at reducing loss of life and property to fire disaster in the state, the federal government deployed two state of the art Fire fighting trucks to the Federal Fire Service in Oyo State.
The Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Raufu Olaniyan at the commissioning of the two brand new state of the art firefighting trucks, which was deployed by the Federal Government for use by the federal fire service in Oyo State made it known in his address that the state government has taken proactive steps in curtailing fire outbreaks by upgrading the state fire services from a department under the Ministry of Works to an agency for effective operation.
He also noted that the state government has improved infrastructure and currently moving to an advanced stage of procuring another set of firefighting trucks.
While appreciating the Federal Government and the Minister of Interior, Ogbenl Rauf Aregbesola for deploying the two Fire Fighting trucks, he implored the Federal Fire Service personnel to make good use of the trucks and pleaded that the residents of the state should make good use of the opportunity by calling on the Federal and State Fire Services for necessary advice and timely actions on fire prevention/combat when the occasion demands.
Also, present at the commissioning was the Comptroller General of Federal Fire Service, Alhaji Lehman Ibrahim who was represented by his deputy, Mr. Callistus Agu who said the recent fire outbreaks expedited the Federal Government’s decision to deploy the trucks to the state so as to combat fire disasters.More photos below.
