 ABIA RECORDS NIGERIA’S FIRST PAROLE RELEASE UNDER CORRECTIONAL SERVICE ACT Abia State has recorded Nigeria’s first parole release under the Nigerian Correctional Service Act, 2019, with ten inmates released under the programme. In a statement, the Service Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Jane Osuji, says the development marks the first practical implementation of the parole provisions of the Act. Representing the Controller-General of Corrections, Sylvester Nwakuche, at the event in Umuahia, Assistant Controller-General of Corrections, Ngozi Okeke, describes the initiative as a major step in correctional reforms aimed at rehabilitation, reintegration, and custodial decongestion. The statement notes that the parolees were drawn from custodial centres in Aba, Umuahia, and Arochukwu, and received vocational tools and other reintegration support to aid their return to society. GOV. ABIODUN APPOINTS SELIMOT OTTUN AS NEW HEAD OF SERVICE.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

   Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has appointed Alhaja Selimot Olapeju Ottun as the new Head of Service in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin.
The former Head of Service, TPL Amope Ajibola Chokor, bowed out of the public service of the state at the weekend.
According to the statement, Alhaja Ottun comes into her new position with impeccable pedigree and service record.
An accomplished psychologist, community development expert and administrator, she becomes the fifth woman to occupy the office and the 17th Head of Service since the creation of the State.
Until her appointment, Ottun was Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration. She previously served as Permanent Secretary at the State’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism between 2015 and 2019.
A 1985 graduate of Psychology from the nation’s premier University – the University of Ibadan - the new Head of Service also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrated Development from the Pan African Institute of Development, Bua in Cameroon.
Alhaja Ottun had coordinated many Community Development and Gender Programmes for the State Government and was also the State Director of the United Nations Gender Development Programme between 2009 and 2015.
The new Head of Service has over the years proven to be an asset in different leadership roles she was saddled with. She is also known to have used her network and creative ingenuity to adapt to changes in public sector management.
While wishing Alhaja Ottun success in her new assignment, Gov Abiodun said he believes that she would put her vast knowledge in the management of the state civil service to good use in her new assignment.
The new Head of Service is happily married and she is the President of Remo Secondary School, Sagamu 73/78set.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
