 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.     Top Lagos socialite and former Dangote Group Secretary, Chioma Madubuko has died at the age of 68.
She passed away on Monday, June 1, at Reddington Hospital, Lagos, after a prolonged battle with multiple sclerosis.
Chioma Madubuko resigned from the services of Dangote Company in January, 2020, where she served for about 12years.
She was an alumnus of the University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, where she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Madubuko had over 35 years of experience spanning legal practice, banking, manufacturing and real estate.
Prior to joining Dangote Group, she served as secretary of NASCON Allied Industries Plc, Secretary of Lead Bank Plc, Member of International Federation of Women Lawyers, Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Member of Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria.
Madubuko is survived by three children and grandchildren.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.
