 Lagos hotel, 3 other properties forfeited by drug kingpins auctioned at N6.1billion *- It’s a clear message that cartels won’t be allowed to enjoy proceeds of their criminal trade, says Marwa*  A Lagos hotel and three other properties seized from drug kingpins by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and forfeited to the Federal Government through court processes have been auctioned for the sum of Six Billion One Hundred and Forty- Eight Million Nine Hundred and Sixty-Four Thousand Naira (N6,148,964,000.00) only. This was the outcome of a competitive bid process for the sale of eight assets forfeited by drug barons in parts of the country. While bidders who offered above reserved prices emerged winners of four of the listed properties, bids for four others failed because none offered up to the reserved prices. GUNMEN KILLED LABARAN MAKU'S NEPHEW, ABDUCT WIFE.{PHOTOS}.

Suspected gunmen have abducted and killed Salisu Usman, nephew to a former Minister of information, Labaran Maku.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the gunmen stormed his residence in Gudi town of Akwanga Local Government of Nasarawa State.
The gunmen took away Mr Usman who is an immigration officer along with his wife.
Speaking to The Nation, father of the victim, retired ASP Usman Salisu, said the gunmen scaled the fence to gain access before firing three shots at the Late Sa’adatu through her window.
“I was on the dining table eating when I heard the first gunshot, second shot then third, as a police officer, I concluded these are robbers. Then shortly I heard my children screaming with their late sister in a pool of blood”
“I quickly put a call to one of my friends, who is also a retired police officer. But before the police came, they had killed my daughter and went away with my son, Usman Salisu who is an Immigration officer and his wife before they later killed him,” Usman said.When contacted, Comptroller of Immigration in the state, Zainab Lawal, confirmed the incident.

“Nigeria Immigration Officer, (NIS) Superintendent Salisu Usman and his wife were kidnapped at gunpoint and he was later killed while his sister was shot on the spot which led to her death immediately,” Mr Lawal said.More photos below.
