 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT CLAIMED ONE LIFE IN AGULU,ANAOCHA LGA OF ANAMBRA STATE TODAY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE

 

   Obstruction cleared and free flow of traffic restored*

On the14/8/2020 at about 5:30am a Mack Truck with REG number RUM 646 XA driven by yet to be identified person and laden with Diesel loss control while trying to negotiate a sharp bend near Agulu lake bridge and crashed inside the bush.As a result,the diesel spilled on the ground and the truck conductor (name yet unknown) whose body was dismembered following the accident died on the spot .

Police operatives led by DPO Neni Division SP Asadu Uche and other Sister Security Agencies quickly mobilised to the scene and cordoned off the Area to prevent catastrophe.Fire Service was equally on ground to prevent fire outbreak.

Meanwhile,Victim was taken to ST Joseph Hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor and corpse deposited at the mortuary for preservation.

Consequently,obstruction was cleared to enable free flow of traffic in the area and investigation is ongoing to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
