 FG ARRAIGNS 400 TERRORISM SUSPECTS The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi (SAN), has arraigned for prosecution over 400 terrorism suspects.  Judiciary Correspondent Austin Anyebe reports that the trials are taking place in different courts at the Federal High Court complex in Abuja.  A team led by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi SAN supported by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), is prosecuting the suspects. Similar mass trial took place in April 2026. In that trial out of 508 defendants, the AGF's office secured 386 convictions, with 8 discharges and 2 acquittals.  Many of the convicts received prison sentences of up to 20 years.  The defendants are facing charges linked to terrorism, aiding and abetting insurgent activities, and financing.    Obstruction cleared and free flow of traffic restored*

On the14/8/2020 at about 5:30am a Mack Truck with REG number RUM 646 XA driven by yet to be identified person and laden with Diesel loss control while trying to negotiate a sharp bend near Agulu lake bridge and crashed inside the bush.As a result,the diesel spilled on the ground and the truck conductor (name yet unknown) whose body was dismembered following the accident died on the spot .

Police operatives led by DPO Neni Division SP Asadu Uche and other Sister Security Agencies quickly mobilised to the scene and cordoned off the Area to prevent catastrophe.Fire Service was equally on ground to prevent fire outbreak.

Meanwhile,Victim was taken to ST Joseph Hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor and corpse deposited at the mortuary for preservation.

Consequently,obstruction was cleared to enable free flow of traffic in the area and investigation is ongoing to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
