 FG ARRAIGNS 400 TERRORISM SUSPECTS The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi (SAN), has arraigned for prosecution over 400 terrorism suspects.  Judiciary Correspondent Austin Anyebe reports that the trials are taking place in different courts at the Federal High Court complex in Abuja.  A team led by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi SAN supported by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), is prosecuting the suspects. Similar mass trial took place in April 2026. In that trial out of 508 defendants, the AGF's office secured 386 convictions, with 8 discharges and 2 acquittals.  Many of the convicts received prison sentences of up to 20 years.  The defendants are facing charges linked to terrorism, aiding and abetting insurgent activities, and financing. GOV. ORTOM MOVES TO ESTABLISH BSU COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

A College of Engineering will soon be established at the Benue State University.

Governor Samuel Ortom disclosed this today at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi when he received a report of the State Steering Committee on the Establishment of Centre for Infectious and Tropical Diseases, College of Health Sciences, Benue State University.

He stated that a committee would be constituted to fast-track the establishment of the College of Engineering at the institution.

Governor Ortom stressed that Benue as Food Basket of the Nation should also be the hub of education, describing the engineering college as key to technology development.

Governor Ortom directed Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Emmanuel Ikwulono to present a memo to the State Executive Council on findings and recommendations of the report for immediate action.

He commended the committee for the timely completion and presentation of the report in spite of the global pandemic, COVID-19.

Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Ikwulono had during the presentation, stated that when established, the centre would be of immense value to the health sector of the state.More photos below.
