 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GOVERNOR ABDULLAHI SULE CHARGES PEOPLE OF UDEGE CHIEFDOM TO FISH OUT CRIMINALS FROM AMONGST THEM
“We believe there are criminal elements amongst the people of this area and we must fish them out”
This is the charge from Governor Abdullahi Sule to key stakeholders when he paid a fact finding visit to the palace of the Osu Ajiri, Halilu Bala Usman the traditional ruler of Udege Chiefdom of Nasarawa State on Sunday.
The visit follows the killing of Mr. Amos Ewa Obere, the monarch of Odu in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Governor Sule who restates that security of lives of the citizens is a priority of his administration insists
criminals must not be allowed to truncate the peace and economic activities in our communities.
He expresses worry at the resurgence of insecurity in the area that was peaceful only months ago. He admonished youths in the area to shun crime.
The Osu Ajiri on his part commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for beefing up security in the area as well as the on going construction of mararaba Udege - Udege Mbeki road.
He however wants the speedy appointment of more district heads in the area for ease of administration and improved security.
Governor Sule accompanied by former governor and Senator representing the area Abdullahi Adamu and other government officials later paid a condolence visit to the palace of the late traditional ruler of Odu.
