 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. THREE FEARED DEAD AS IPOB MEMBERS AND SECURITY AGENTS CLASHED IN ENUGU.{PHOTOS}.

     A clash between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and operatives of the Department of State Security DSS has left at least three persons dead and several others injured at Emene, Enugu state today August 23.

According to reports, trouble started at about 7:00am when some policemen invaded Community Secondary School in Emene where members of the group were meeting to disperse and arrest them. The attempt was resisted, with the IPOB members reportedly overpowering the security operatives.

In a swift reaction, a large reinforcement of security agents was called and over a dozen patrol vans loaded with armed policemen, army, and DSS personnel arrived at the scene and faced the Biafran agitators.

The number of casualties is yet unknown.More photos below.
