 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. IKORODU ROAD RECONSTRUCTION: LASG ANNOUNCES PARTIAL CLOSURE OF KETU BRT LANE.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

 

     As part of the ongoing reconstruction of Ikorodu Road, (Mile 12 - Ketu), the Lagos State Government has announced that there will be partial closure of a section of the BRT Lane at Ketu for 14 working days, effective from Monday, September 14, 2020.

In a statement issued today by the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the partial closure is to allow the contractor handling the project to commence construction of additional Relief Culverts across the road at Ketu Bus Stop from Monday 14th of September, 2020.
He explained that the BRT buses that operate on the Ketu axis will be diverted to the service lane from Oluwalogbon Street Junction during the construction period, adding that the personnel of Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA, would be available to direct traffic and ensure the free flow of vehicular movements.
Oladeinde, therefore, solicited for the cooperation and support of the BRT buses that ply the corridor, stressing that the project is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the ever-busy road to achieve objectives of the government's traffic management and transportation policy.
