 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. MAIRIGA APPOINTED EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, FGSHLB
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Abdu Mairiga as the Executive Secretary, Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB) with effect from 24th July, 2020 for a term of Four (4) Years in the first instance.
The letter conveying the approval was signed by The Head of Service of the Federation (HOS), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan. She stated that the new appointment calls for dedication, hard work and commitment for the realization of the mandate of the Board. She therefore advised Mr. Mairiga to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear on the task ahead.
Mr. Ibrahim Abdu Mairiga was born on the 4th of December, 1960 in Gombe, Gombe State, Nigeria. He holds a Masters of Arts (History) from the University of Maiduguri and Bachelor of Arts (History) from Bayero University, Kano State. He has attended many professional courses both within and outside Nigeria.
Mr. Mairiga was the Director, Employment Mobility and Director Overseeing the Office of Permanent Secretary, Career Management in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) before his current appointment. He is expected to assume duties in the Board immediately.
