 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. BENUE: TWO MKAR LECTURERS DIE IN AUTO CRASH .{PHOTO}.

Seven persons yesterday evening lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident at Gbatse community along Ugbema-Adikpo road in Ushongo local government area of Benue state.
Two lecturers from University of Mkar we're among the seven killed in the accident which happened at about 3:pm
According to eye-witness account, a trailer truck ran into a stationary Toyota car with registration number MKD-300-NH thereby crushing seven occupants dead.
Report said driver of the truck purchased a fairly used car and kept it aboard and was about dodging a police check-point when he pinched the on-waiting car killing all the occupants.
It took the police and other spirited individuals over five hours to evacuate the deads being squeezed under the truck.
Chairman of Ushongo local government, Hon. Asawa Joseph had to cut short at a reception in honour of his Guma counterpart and state chairman of ALGON, Hon. Caleb Abba from Makurdi to rush to the scene of the accident.
He directed that bodies of the victims be deposited at Ostra Gum’s hospital at Ushongo town.
A searched on some documents recovered from scene of the accident identified two University of Mkar Lecturers in persons of Mr. Leva Joshua of Mass Communication Department and Moses Tarnongo as victims of the accident.
A Zenith ATM Card found on one of the bodies also identified Adaa I. Blessing as one of the victims.
Details of the accident could be obtained at Police Station in Ushongo town along Ugbema-Adikp road.
