 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. LASG COMMISERATES WITH FAMILY OF LATE BISHOP OLUSOLA ORE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

 

The Lagos State Government, on Friday, commiserated with the family of Late Bishop Olusola Ore, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the demise of the Bishop.
The Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Olanrewaju Elegushi, speaking during a condolence visit to the home of the Late Bishop, expressed condolence to the family on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government.
According to him, “The State Government, through the State Ministry of Health, rendered all medical support to the late Bishop while he was ill but all efforts proved abortive. The Governor empathised with the family and the body of Christ in Nigeria, particularly the Lagos State CAN and PFN”.
Presenting a Letter of Condolence to the family and CAN on behalf of the State Government, Elegushi consoled the widow of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the late Bishop is in a better place and had touched so many lives with kindness during his stay on earth.
The immediate younger sister of the late Bishop, Mrs. Erinfolami, who responded on behalf of the family, thanked the representatives of the Lagos State Government for the visit as well as the kindness and benevolence of the present administration towards the family, promising to update the State Government on the burial arrangements as planning progresses.

Other members of the visiting team included the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mrs. Adebunmi Elizabeth Adekanye; the Special Adviser to the Governor (Christian Religion), Reverend Bukola Adeleke; Executive Secretaries of both Christian and Muslim Boards, Mrs. Florence Yetunde Gbafe and Mr. Rahman Ishola respectively, among others.
The late Bishop Olusola Ore, who died on Monday, 26th October 2020, was the Chairman, Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) and also the Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State Chapter.
