 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

AS POLICE RETURN TO ANAMBRA ROADS AND OTHER FLASHPOINTS AFTER #ENDSARS PROTESTS,CP ABANG VISITS POLICE STATIONS AFFECTED BY THE CRISIS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

In continuation with his assessment tour to areas affected by recent "ENDSARS" protest in the State,the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command *CP John B.Abang,fdc* has today 6/11/2020 visited different Police Stations burnt and vandalized during the recent #ENDSARS protests.
Places visited by the Commissioner of Police includes Central Police Station and Area Command headquarters Nnewi,Ichi Division,Oraifite Area Command/Division,Uli Division,Ogidi and B' Division Awka respectively.The CP who inspects levels of destruction done to those facilities also held interactive discussions with police officers of the affected formations and sympathized with them on behalf of the Inspector-general of police *IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM,mni*.He encouraged them to overcome the tragidies and focus now on their constitutional duties.The CP also stated that while reconstruction works are ongoing at the affected areas sponsord by some well meaning individuals in those Communities,a temporary operational base would be set up immediately and that police duties will continue in earnest despite the unfotunate incidents.
The CP equally revealed that Police have commenced operations fully throughout the State in order to stem the tide of Crime.The operations which includes deployment of Police operatives to all nooks and crannies in the State, surveillance,twenty four hours patrol on all flashpoints as well as traffic control is aimed at ensuring that "Ndi Anambra" and other residents alike are adequately protected and secured especially during this ember periods.
Meanwhile,the CP Commended officers and men attached to Ogidi Division,CPS/Area Command Onitsha,Okpoko and B' Division Awka for resisting attempts by the hoodlums to attack their formations and urged them to sustain this act of gallantry they exhibited.The CP equally thanked the well meaning individuals in the State who as usual volunteered to reconstruct the destroyed facilities as part of their social responsibilities of promoting safety and security in Anambra State.

Consequently, the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* reassures the Public that the law enforcement agencies will continue to collaborate and ensure safety and security of all citizens before during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.
