 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Following threat analysis and intelligence gathering embarked upon by the Anambra State Police Command in order to stem the tide of Crime in the State,the Anambra State Police Command has Commence aggressive
deployment of Police operatives which also includes aerial surveillance,patrols and traffic control aimed at ensuring that "Ndi Anambra" and other residents alike are adequately protected and secured especially during this ember periods.The Command has taken cognisance of black spots such as Nkpor roundabout,Upper Iweka Axis,Idemili,,Owerri road,Onitsha,Enugu Agidi road,Nnobi junction,Ifite Okpuno and other flashpoints.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* reassures the Public that the law enforcement agencies will continue to collaborate and ensure safety and security of all citizens before during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.
