 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. RECOVERY OF A SNATCHED VEHICLE BY THE COMMAND RAPID RESPONSE SQUAD.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

On 12/11/2020 at about 8:30pm, The Command Rapid Response Tean (RRS) while on routine patrol along Owerri road Onitsha received a distress call that three armed men on tricycle snatched at gunpoint a Toyota Corolla car with Reg ABC 690 AR, at about 8:pm same day. The team immediately swung into action, gave the suspects a hot chase, forcing them abandon the snatched vehicle in Oba and escaped.
The vehicle was recovered and effort is being intensified to apprehebd the fleeing suspects in order to bring them to justice.
It would be recalled that the Command Rapid Response Squad was unveiled yesterday 12/11/2020 by His Excelency Governor Willie Obiano at the State Police Command headquarters Awka with the aim of responding to distress calls on heinous crimes and patrolling flashpoints in Anambra State in order to ensure safety and security before, during and after the Christmas and New year Celebrations.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
