 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state. WOMAN WHO ACCUSED SARS OFFICERS OF TORTURING HER FOR 22 DAYS IS ALLEGED KIDNAP KINGPIN EVANS' SISTER.{PHOTO}.

Mrs. Nzube-Obi Obiechina, the teacher who said that she lost her two-month pregnancy in 2017 after allegedly being tortured and detained for 22 days by the police, is reportedly the sister of alleged kidnap kingpin Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike alias Evans.
Appearing before the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters on October 31, the teacher who responded to a question by Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) counsel Mr. Nosa Uhumwamgho disclosed that she has neither seen nor been in touch with her brother in ages, before his arrest on June 10, 2017.
She also accused the police of unlawfully arresting, assaulting and detaining her and her husband without trial.
The Nation reported that Mrs. Obiechina and her husband Ogechukwu Obiechina are now seeking the enforcement of the N2million awarded them by the Federal High Court in Lagos against the police, following their ordeal.
