 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. SPAIN: FIRE KILLED ONE AND INJURED 18 PEOPLE TODAY AT A SPANISH CARE HOME.{PHOTOS}.

A fire at a Spanish care home killed an 89-year-old woman and injured 18 people, emergency services said on Wednesday.

The blaze began on the third floor at the Domusvi-Adorea home in Seville in southern Spain just before midnight on Tuesday, firefighters said.

“This was the intervention of the emergency services in the residence home in which an 89-year-old woman died and 18 people were hospitalised,” the Seville Emergency Services said in a tweet.

Neighbours brought blankets and offered refuge in their own homes to elderly residents who were forced to leave the building.

Many residents were taken by council workers to a sports centre to spend the night.

The cause of the fire was being investigated, emergency services said.
