 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states. POLICE ARRESTS MAN WHO PROMISES WOMEN MARRIAGE ON SOCIAL MEDIA THEN STEALS FROM THEIR FAMILIES.{PHOTOS}.

Police in Katsina state have arrested one 31-year-old Abdullahi Umar who goes after desperate women with deceit of marriage on social media. When invited to meet the Lady's family for discussions, he will steal from them and abscond.
He was arrested in Kaduna state after a victim of Katsina whom he met on Facebook invited him to her father's house to discuss marriage. After he was given a place to sleep, at midnight he stole their laptops, phones, clothes, shoes and N100k.
Katsina State police spokesperson, Gambo Isah, told BBC that they don't know the actual number of victims but they expect more women to come forward with complaints.
