 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. *MISSING PERSONS*:
On the 4/2/2021 at about 4:pm,a case of missing persons was reported at CPS Awka by one Ukamaka Anunobi "f" of NO.7 Emeka Chukwura Street Amikwo Awka that two of her step daughters named Precious Chukwuemeka 'f' aged 17years and Mmesoma Chukwuemeka 'f' aged 12 years of same address left the house to unknown destination but did not return home.
2. Police circulated the signal through the control room while effort is being intensified to find the missing children.They are fair in complexion one is about 5ft tall while the other is 3 and half feet tall without a tribal mark.
3. The Command implores members of the Public with useful information about the children's whereabout to report at the nearest Police Station or through the following Police emergency number 07039194332.
