Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a multi-state infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and economic activities across northern and southern Nigeria. More...

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY: IN EDO,WE HAVE EXAMPLES OF HOW WOMEN HAVE TRANSFORMED DIFFERENT SECTORS OF THE STATE'S ECONOMY.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

In commemoration of the International Women’s Day marked every March 8, we are committed to providing opportunities for women to contribute to the state’s development.
In Edo, we have ample examples of how women have transformed different sectors of the state’s economy. We are proud of the achievement of these women and will be engaging them more as we work to make Edo great again.
We would continue to advance policies and programmes to promote gender mainstreaming. My administration has made commitments to ensuring that more women are brought into mainstream politics to ensure that their input is taken into consideration in policy-making.
In my first term in office, I appointed female Special Adviser and Special Assistants across the 18 local government areas of the state. This was to ensure that women get a seat on the decision-making table.
So, as we celebrate women today, we once again reiterate our commitment to ensuring that we tap the strength, resilience, courage and talents of our women in our economic development trajectory.
It is in our best interest to do so as we have first-hand evidence that they have a lot to contribute in making our state great again.
