  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. LASG CLOSES FALOMO BRIDGE FOR SIX-WEEK REHABILITATION WORKS.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

In furtherance of the Lagos State Government’s commitment to ensure effective and efficient transportation through quality road infrastructure, the Falomo Bridge will be closed for repair works for six weeks from Sunday, 14th March to Friday 30th April, 2021.
A statement signed by the State Commissioner for Transportaion, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, noted that the repairs will run on a 24-hour shift in phases to enable the contractor complete repairs within the estimated set time and minimise the anticipated inconveniences to road users.
He explained that the first stage of the repairs will cover the Victoria Island-bound lane of the bridge, which will be closed to traffic, adding that motorists heading towards Victoria Island will be diverted to the Ikoyi bound lanes to create a counter-flow.
The Commissioner also said that while the Ikoyi bound lane will be closed down for the second stage of rehabilitation works, in a similar fashion, motorists will be diverted to other lanes, assuring that sufficient signage would be put up to guide motorists, just as traffic management personnel will deployed to help motorists navigate their journeys with ease.
Oladeinde, however, appealed to the good people of the State to cooperate with the Government by complying with the directives and traffic advisory to allow contractors to finish the projects in record time.
