 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja, on behalf the Executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, recieved in audience, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche– founder and Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Head Quartered in Abuja, Nigeria.
The renowned clergyman who is in Lokoja for an ongoing three-day crusade, alongside his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche, led an entourage to pay a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Government and was duely hosted by the Deputy Governor in his office on Friday.
The Deputy Governor, in a scheduled phase of the auspicious meeting led the visitors to the edifice of the State Government House Chapel where fervent prayers and ministrations were held for the State, nation and world at large.
Speaking at the Chapel, Chief Onoja who welcomed the visitors, expressed gratitude to God for the works he is doing through Pastor Paul Enenche, whom he described as "God's General." He said the Man of God had consistently remained a vessel of God used in blessing His people and hinted that the crusade was not only important, but timely for the State and country in particular.
Chief Onoja also thanked him for being a blessing to his Local Government Area of Olamaboro through the annual Meeting of the Calebites.

While insisting that Governor Bello has anchored the State on grounds of competence, character and capacity, he recollected that the State had existed for twenty-eight years without a Chapel for Christian worship but boasts of one today, which he noted, is a testament of the Governor's sensitivity to unity, fairness and religious tolerance.
He solicited for continued prayers for the Government and people of the State from the Dunamis' Senior Pastor and wished him God's guidance in his endeavors.
On his part, Pastor Enenche whom at the crusade, commended the Kogi State Government for its stance in ameliorating fears in the face of the coronavirus pandemic also lauded Governor Bello for his gender sensitivity and women inclusion policy, recommending that the model be replicated at the national level.
He described Lokoja as the foundation of the country and hinted that the State was one full of potentials. He prayed to God to continually provide wisdom for leadership and insights for resources and people-management to Governor Bello and heads of various sectors in the State.
A highlight of the visit for the clergyman and his wife was a tour around the State Government House with long-standing history on their request, led by the Deputy Governor.
In attendance were the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr.Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the State Head of Service, Mrs. Hannah Odiyo, DG, Research and Development to the Kogi State Governor, Barr. Moses Okezie, Chaplain of the Kogi State Government House Chapel, Pst. Henry Asarapo, SSA to the Governor and Chapel Administrator, Benjamin Atomode, High Chief Edime Amade, amongst other government functionaries.
