 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GOV. FINTIRI CONNECTS TOUNGO LG TO NATIONAL GRID.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Former deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Bello Tukur Friday commissioned Toungo electrification project provided by the Fintiri led administration.
Speaking at the event in Toungo, Senator Tukur thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for actualizing the project which he said has great socioeconomic benefits to the people.
He described Governor Umaru Fintiri as one of the best performing governors in the country acknowledged with excitement his developmental projects in Adamawa.
Governor Umaru Fintiri said project is a 33kv main line from Ganye Tee Junction to Toungo and linked to the YEDC main station with 11kv Low Tension in Gamu and installed transformers and distribution lines.
The Governor added that the second phase is the one from Toungo to Kirri which has already seen ninety percent poles erection and is still in progress declaring that his administration will soon commission the project.
There were goodwill messages from the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas, the All Progressives Congress (APC) member representing Toungo in the State House of Assembly and chairman Toungo local government council, Mr Kefas Kelvin.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe urged the people of Toungo to take full responsibility of protecting the facility.
