 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. OGSIEC AMENDS ELECTORAL TIMETABLE, RETAINS JULY 24 FOR ELECTIONS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE

In preparation for the forth coming Local Government elections, the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has amended the earlier released timetable, as party primaries have been increased from five to 22days, starting from Wednesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 27, 2021.
Political campaigns are now to end midnight on Thursday, July 22, 2021, as against the earlier slated time, while the election date remained Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Chairman, OGSIEC, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu made this announcement at the official flag-off ceremony of the political activities leading to the 2021 Local Government elections, at the June 12 Cultural Center kuto Abeokuta, urging the political class and aspirants to embrace stipulated guidelines.
Osibodu said the Commission would waive the payment of a non-refundable deposit by intending candidates for female aspirants, adding that it was a gesture to encourage more women to participate in the election.More photos below.
