 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila presenting Letters of appointment to the new Chief Complaints Commissioner of the Federation, Hon. Bimbo Ayo-Yusuf and other Commissioners, Hon. Afeez Odunewu for Lagos State Alhaji Folawiyo Bello for Oyo State and Mrs Emelda Okoli for Anambra state in Abuja on Wednesday 26/5/21
The presentation was witnessed in Abuja by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) who expressed joy that the Public Complaints Commission, a federal government agency of over 45 years is having a Chief Executive of Yoruba extraction for the first time since creation.
Oba Ogunwusi also commended Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila for his passion for nation building and knack for excellence.
